I took this shot while visiting Panther Creek Falls last spring. I fell in love with lower Panther falls through photographs and have always wanted to check it out. It’s a fairly small waterfall, but visually it is one of the most unique I have ever seen. There is no developed route to the base of the falls and the "path" which leads there is quite sketchy, but it’s worth it. To take this shot I had to place my camera about an inch from the water, but the problem is that the water spray was so bad that it was impossible to keep my lens clean and take the exposures at the same time. Luckily I had someone there to help me out, but unfortunately on this day we only had one pair of waders with us and it wasn’t mine! The water was freezing so I was only able to stand there a few minutes to take the shots I needed and had to go back to the car to warm up; I hope you enjoy the shot.
