Germany’s Fairytale Village

Freudenberg is a small medieval town situated in Germany. The historical white and black half-timbered houses are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. It was a perfect destination away from the noise from the big cities.

Traditional Fishing

I took this photo of the cormorant fisherman by the Li River, near Yangshuo. I did some research before I went so I had a pretty good idea how cormorant fishing worked, but had no idea how fast those birds are. They’ll dive after a fish to catch it, but since the fishermen ties a snare around it’s throat it cannot swallow a large fish. Rather, it holds the fish in its throat and coughs it up when the fisherman brings the bird back to the boat. It was pretty cool to watch!

Last Sunset

The incredible Ancient City! When you arrive in Old Bagan it truly feels like you have been taken back in time. It’s hard to believe that so much beauty exists in a single place. From the top of the taller temples you can look out across the landscape and see the religious structures for as far as the eye can stretch! This photo was taken on my last day in Bagan, and every time I look at it I just want to go back!

Parisian Sunset

Last Summer I spent a few days in Paris, and was able to capture some beautiful light from the top of Montparnasse. Here you can see the Eiffel Tower with La Défense in the background at sunset just after the rain.
